BURBUJAS (Bubbles) is a simple, fun Spanish verb conjugation game that motivates students to learn their verb conjugations. Students are given an infinitive verb, which means un-conjugated verb, that they must conjugate in its forms in this order - I form, you form, he/she/you formal form, we form, you all (Spain) form, and they/you all form - before the bubbles that you blow all pop. Here is an example:
Infinitive Verb: hablar = to talk
hablo (I talk)
hablas (you talk)
habla (he/she or you formal talk)
hablamos (we talk)
habláis (you all talk - this form only used in Spain)
hablan (they or you all talk)
You can do this at home to motivate your child to learn his/her conjugations. Even offer a little prize for doing it! It's also fun to challenge students to conjugate two Spanish verbs before the bubbles pop. It's lots of fun in a classroom doing all together or letting volunteers conjugate. The kids have a lot of fun with this!
